Experience with Children's Issues
Lucinda has a diverse background of working with individuals, groups, and families in a variety of settings such as private practice, schools, community, and mental health facilities. She is experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and aims to work collaboratively alongside your child's care team (including but not limited to Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Paediatricians, Support Workers, and Educators) to ensure consistency of care across all settings.
What Approach Does Lucinda Take?
Lucinda's main goal is to have fun! Lucinda believes that fun is the core ingredient for engagement and learning, but first, she needs to have a thorough understanding of each individual child's needs and interests so she can create the best therapy journey for everyone. Lucinda focuses on practical, strengths-based and evidence-based strategies tailored to each individual child's needs, all while engaging your child in the things they enjoy doing most. Who knew therapy could be so much fun!

Occupations, simple or complex, are those things we need, want or are expected to do in our every-day life. Lucinda's approach means the child often doesn't see the sessions as "therapy" but more of a collaborative learning experience. This enables and motivates the child to engage and reach goals without even realising it!
What if my therapist isn't the right fit for me?
If at any time you feel your therapist just isn’t the right fit, that’s perfectly OK! We won’t be upset, in fact, we would rather you be honest so we can help find you another therapist to cater to your needs!

We pride ourselves in building strong relationships with each individual. Sometimes this relationship can take time to build, so we ask that you please allow for a minimum of 3 sessions to give this relationship a chance to sparkle before changing your mind!
