COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM
Sometimes families desperately want Occupational Therapy support, but simply cannot afford it.
Every year we meet incredible children whose families are facing financial hardship or unexpected life circumstances, where accessing therapy simply isn't possible despite a genuine need.
At Making A Difference Occupational Therapy, we believe that a child's future shouldn't be determined by their family's circumstances.
That's why we're proud to introduce our Making A Difference Community Support Program.
Each year, our practice commits to gifting a limited number of Occupational Therapy sessions to children and families experiencing genuine financial hardship. These sessions are fully funded by Making A Difference OT as part of our commitment to giving back to the community that has supported us.
While places are limited, our hope is that these sessions provide families with the opportunity to access professional guidance, practical strategies and support during a time when they need it most.

Our Commitment
Each year, Making A Difference OT sets aside dedicated appointment times to support children through this program.
The number of available therapy sessions may vary from year to year depending on the capacity of our clinicians and the needs of the community.
Our goal isn't to replace ongoing funding pathways, but to provide meaningful support that can make a genuine difference when families need it most.
In the future, we hope to expand this initiative through partnerships, sponsorships and community support, allowing us to help even more children and families.
Who May Be Eligible?
The Community Support Program is designed for families who:

Are experiencing genuine financial hardship.

Are unable to access Occupational Therapy through existing funding pathways (such as NDIS or private health insurance).

Would likely benefit from Occupational Therapy intervention.

Demonstrate a commitment to engaging in therapy and implementing strategies at home.
As funding is limited, applications are assessed individually to ensure support reaches families with the greatest need.
Not sure if you're eligible?
We encourage you to submit an Expression of Interest if you believe your child may benefit from Occupational Therapy and financial circumstances are preventing you from accessing support. If our Community Support Program isn't the right fit, we'll do our best to point you towards other services or funding pathways where appropriate.
Expressions of Interest
We understand that reaching out for support isn't always easy. If you feel your family may benefit from the Community Support Program, we'd love to hear from you.
As places are limited, we invite families to submit an Expression of Interest. Every submission is considered carefully and with compassion.
Submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee acceptance into the program, but allows us to carefully consider how we can best support our community.
